Mrs. Diaz gave us a very interesting seminar a bout how to use social networks and Media to promote yourself and your business. She talked about the importance of having accounts in Twitter, Facebook,  Blogger, LinkedIn, among others. She exposed the proper ways of reaching people through the internet and she talked about what you should and should not do to gain audience. she also talked about the importance of Metrics which are used to measure the success of a Blog or a Webpage. an example of a metric could be the number of page views, number of followers, etc.

My Favorite Vacations

My Favorite Trip

The trip that I have enjoyed the most was a cruise that I took with my friends in 2006. The cruise departed from Miami; it stopped in Jamaica, Labadee, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.


The name of the cruise was Navigator of the seas; a gigantic and beautiful  ship from Royal Caribbean. The cruise had a lot of attractions. of the places we visited the ones that I liked the most were Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I enjoyed that much not only because of my friends and the attractions, also because the ship was full of beautiful and open girls.......

Dominican Companies in Social Network



Anthony’s outlets is one of the most popular stores of DR in social network, they have more that 100 thousand likes in facebook where people can see their different sales, new merchandise, promotions, among others. They also are very popular in twitter where they keep customers in touch with whatever is happening in the stores.
Jumbo is another company with high participation, mainly in facebook and twitter. Jumbo has over 67 thousand likes in facebook and 3 thousand followers in twitter. They constantly upload new sales, catalogs, etc. also they became the first company of DR in using FourSquare.
Cerveza Presidente: (31,257 followers in twitter) As we know, Presidente is the beer of the people, is the most popular beer of the country and is a brand that is always in touch with the people; they do this by making events like the Presidente festival and much more.
Orange Dominicana: (23,781 followers in twitter) Orange has gained a lot of territory in the cell phone and internet industry in the country, all these have happened because people, especially Young people are identified with the feeling that they transmit. They are doing a great job.


911 have a high participation in facebook, they have more than 11 thousand likes and they constantly update and upload pictures of their promotions, events, and girls etc. but they are kind of new in twitter and they are starting to gain followers.
